I think the problem is an intermittent one papasmurf because everything looks fine at the moment. A friend of mine had the same problem on his VFR 800 and had a hell of a job tracking it down but he managed to catch the rectifier playing silly buggers once but could never repeat it. He changed it and never had the problem again. I'm almost certain that this is the same fault and am looking to change it.
