Hello srm244 and welcome to the biker forum. I wear specs myself and have a Shoei XR1000 lid that doesn't give me any problems. My last lid had a seam at the side where my specs used to go and gave me all sorts of problems. The best solution would be to try contact lenses if you can wear them. Up until recently I did and they are fantastic for riding.
