| I'm so confused, please help! Hi all,
OK, soooo many options I really don't know what to do!
I have passed my CBT (about a month ago now) and have just had an offer for my car which I'm going to accept. I'm over 21, and really can't decide what to do.
I REALLY want to do my DAS and get a big bike, but after getting a quote last night on a Honda CBR600F for £2.8k I really can't afford the insurance on a big bike.
So what I'm thinking of doing is doing my DAS and then getting a 250cc bike, should be fairly nippy and it's affordable (£700 insurance)
But then this morning I've started thinking I should just get a 125 and learn on that for 6 months, then take my test! that would cost me very little money, but would take a while :\ would I be building up my no claims even if I don't have my full licence yet?
I really can't decide what to do! did all your insurance quotes for a big bike come up expensive? I'm just suprised, I'm 23, have loads of road experience and thought it would be much cheaper! I don't mind paying UP TO ~£1k for insurance (even third party) but can't get anything near that low :-(
What would you guys do? do you think I will get bored on a 125? what about the 250 idea?
Many thanks for ANY advice!
I will have about £4k to spend on Gear, Bike AND insurance (as well as tests if I decide to do my DAS)
