Totally agree - that is why i have a friend (experienced biker) ride mine once in a while

I'm not a bike mechanic but i still remember my instuctor telling me to remember the phrase BESTCOPS

B = BRAKES - check daily
E = ELECTRICS - check lights, indicators, horn, switches, cut-out
S = STEERING - is it free? any noises?
T = TYRES - pressures, wear and tear, nicks, chunks, depth
C = CHAIN - check freeplay, rust, tighten, lubricate
O = OIL - check regularly
P = PETROL - got enough?
S = SUSPENSION - check settings and load

I know this is alot to do daily - so i try and do it weekly.

Honda CBR 600RR and proud!!
