Filling up with 2 stroke oil

Filling up with 2 stroke oil. Easy, right? No.

2 stroke oil light comes on half way home. Ok, Got to fill up when I get home.

Get home, it's dark, and I turn my house's external lights on. Still pretty dark.

Find 2 stroke oil bottle. It's brand new, so it still has the foil seal on it.

Try to find tab that lets you peel the tab off.

No tab. Have to punch fingers through foil to break tab.

Fingers get covered in oil.

Go inside, wipe fingers with kitchen towel.

Unscrew 2 stroke tank's lid, and attempt to pour oil in.

Oil spills.

Go back inside to get reel of kitchen towel.

Clear up top of oil tank.

Try again.

Goes well, spills a small amount.

Pour slightly faster.

It is too dark to see the oil filling up the tank, so the oil overflows the tank.

Creates BIG mess.

Profanities follow.

Use 3/4 of kitchen towel roll to clear up mess.

Screw lid back onto oil bottle and tank.

Wipe oil off of oil bottle.

Wipe up some more.

Close seat.

Put oil bottle away.

Ruturn what little is left of kitchen roll to it's stand.

Bin the large pile of oily kitchen towel.

Wash hands.

Turn on computer.

Rant about filling up with 2 stroke oil.

DONE!

It was annoying, because my other 2 stroke oil had a convenient neck, which fitted inside the neck of the tank on my bike. My new oil bottle's neck is easily 2 times wider than the neck of the oil tank.

I was going to get a funnel, to make life easier, but my dad, who's a mechanic has gone to a tool convention, and the keys to the garage are on his van keys, so I can't get one. Grrr.

So, overall, something that should have taken 2 minutes took half an hour.

Rant over.

I can fix it! I can fix anything!

See my avatar? It's a Goldwing I restricted to 50cc!

Your sports car has a starter button? That's fancy! My moped has one too!
