Re: 3 Types of Bike

Sports - Probably the same as a lot of riders my age, I would love to have a 1098 or similar in the garage to play with but I couldn't put up with the riding position for too long before the aches and pains begin to set in. I run the Blackbird mainly because it suits what I want to do with it, i.e. high speed touring with luggage and pillion.

Cruiser - Not a great fan of this type of bike because of the handling characteristics. Some of them look really nice, especially the custom ones. I do like the Harley Fat Bob and was reasonably impressed when a guy came with us for a spin over the mountain circuit so that particular bike could be a possibility. The other one in this category that catches my eye is the Triumph Rocket III - very fast in a straight line

Big Trailie - This is the bike I would probably change the Blackbird for when the time comes. I like the R1200GS a lot, having ridden one for a reasonable time. Jumping on one after the Blackbird was like firing a tractor up but the handling is as good as any bike I have ridden, if not better and the position is very comfortable with a great view of the road ahead. The other option for me would be an FJR1300 or similar.

I read that smoking weed destroys your brain cells - so I gave up reading
