This eliminates this being a issue with one of my boxes, and eliminates a possible issue introduced in a recent update to ubuntu

Now at work on a windoze machine and still not got an editpost option.. Must be summat specific to my account spree mate.. I have noted that at the lower right corner of the page where user priveldges are listed it states for me that I may
NOT edit posts...
