I can see it being possible to pick up a can of black 'very high temperature' paint instead of Wurths chain lube, and not realising until you've fully 'lubed' your chain. O.K. so I did do it, but the chain looks o.k. now.
be very careful with the chain and try to remove the paint with out using any solvents as this can damage the o rings which i would imagine you have.like another member has stated ,if your chain had plenty of chain wax on previously a little wd40 should lift the lube off with most of the paint.
