Im a happy chappy this evening...picked up the Z750 this afternoon. I was bricking it as i pulled away from the dealership, visions of totalling it at the first corner...though it was nice not having the instructor bollocking me every other breath. I managed to navigate the traffic through Stockton town centre without too much bother, then the dual carriageway. It seemed incredibly quick even though i didnt go above 6000rpm - the thought of how quick it might be once run in is a little bit scary TBH. Pulling into the street where i live saw it all go pear shaped, stalled it twice, simply couldnt get clutch/throttle/rear brake to work together at all. I guess it will take time to get used it all.

Anyway, im over the moon considering that 6 weeks ago i had never even touched a moped, never mind a full blown motorbike.

So, are there any organised rides up this way (Richmond/Dales) that anyone knows of, where i can learn to navigate the local roads.
