Hiya guys I have my test booked for next month and if all goes well. I will be looking at getting a bigger bike. I have my eye on 5 so far lol, And was going to ask you lot on them if thats ok ? 1st one is a Honda vfr800, Now i like this as it's more of a tourer But i know nothing off the 800, 2nd was a Bmw R1100s Been a fan of bmw's since my dad had a two of them, 3rd is a Honda CB1300. 4th is a Gxr1400, 5th is Laverda Diamante 668. The last one i know nothing about just liked how it looked. Any help is thanked Jay. |

The VFR is a great allrounder, especially the older ones. The latest incarnation doesnt seem to have the same kudos as the old one though. At the end of the day though its all down to personal preference

Thanks spree Yeah my dad had a black vfr 750 and i used to love getting pick up on it lol sounded so nice with a race can, As to it's up to me i cant really think what i want thats why i kinda asked lol. So if i was to go for a vfr would i jusr be better of going for the 750 over the 800 ? |

Alot would depend on what you intend to use it for. The Laverda would certainly stand out in a crowd . Are you not restricted to 33bhp? | |

A friend of mine had the 750 and did over 80k miles with it and it was still in perfect condition when he finally px'ed it. If it was me, I would have a look at the previous VFR800FI because this is the bike that got all the accolades.

Just to chuck a spanner in the works, if your avatar is correct, you are currently riding a moped on L plates. Not a problem. But to go from that to a 1300 or 1400 cc bike ![]() IMHO, it would be better to go for a 5 or 600cc engine and THEN onto something bigger.

i went from 600cc commuter to 900cc sports bike and the difference is out of this world so im kinda agreeing with stroppy (how she will love this) i know its all about how much juice you dial in but seriously it doesnt take much to catch you out and ruin your day when you have so much power at your disposal. just something to bear in mine when you look at buying a bike with an engine thats bigger than alot of cars have....
