its nearly here . anyone considering not visiting this show to attend the alexander palace show should note that the a.p show of 2009 was a complete disapointment and i would urge them to reconsider . info for tube users , got to tower gateway this is docklands no changing trains from here , you may have to wait 4 right train for custom house though . only 10 stops from here . £18 entry to show

I have a free ticket courtesey of the MCN rip off goodie bag from the NEC show.

If the weather is Ok I'll go along.

I was doing the security there many years back & we had to draft in any Tom, Dick & Harry to cover the venue,
We couldn't be too fussy as it was a rush job but one guy (who was recently over from Africa) refused to wear any footwear & wore his tie on his head! (TRUE)
So he was walking around barefoot with a tie on his head speaking very broken English. (& tbh he was one of the better security guards we'd recruited !)

have now made arangement to go with someone . at least ive got someone to talk to on the way there and at the show . saw in the bike mag today that this show is meant to be the biggest and best in london and south east so really looking forward to it .

Don't get your hopes up. Last year's event was woefully inadequate as there were too few exhibitors and way too few bikes on show.

I now only go the NEC show.

stephen , i dont think you went to same show as me ! i really enjoyed it although i travel free and get in for half price ,dickinson . excel centre (doclands ) feb 4th to 5th see london motorbike show on web 4 more details . see my 1st post for tube travel details . please note i tried a different way last year took 2 hours . this way is supposed to take much less one hour from where i live . bike parking free at site

I went last year, it was a bit of a let down but better than going all the way to the NEC to be let down

laverdas story reminded me of a man while i was working for a famous high st store , claimed to have been on a radio corse then proceeded to say there is a car here abc 123 . i said please return to the security depot . then i said what was this course youve just been on ? did they not tell you to say alpha, bravo etc he said they didnt tell him but thats probably the first thing you are taught . mind you he was a first class idiot .

Is it true that Suzuki is not on the show? I couldn't see it in the floor plan anywhere...
