Stick or twist?????????

Bit of a decision to make. I'm really happy with my present bike, a 2001 Y reg Blackbird. However, my brothers got a 2004 Aprillia Falco which I could have for just under £2K. Both bikes have done 18,000 miles, both F.S.H and both in good nick. I think I could sell the 'Bird for just under £3k, so I'd be on a bike a lot newer ( but a bit slower ) with almost a grand in my pocket! And let's face it, the Falco is a great, if much under rated bike. Is it wise to ever get rid of a bike that you're 100% happy with I'm sure lots of you have regretted swapping machines, maybe even shed a few tears at the loss of a 'loved' one. What should I do It's 50/50 at the moment. Someone decide for me pleeeeeeease!!!!!

I ride to work, I work to ride.

Re: Stick or twist?????????

I would stay with the Blackbird, they are both in the same bracket (sports touring) but the bird does it so much better.
  1. Its faster, a lot faster
  2. Its more economical
  3. Its more reliable
  4. It holds its price better
  5. Its better finished
  6. Parts are easy to get hold of if you need them
  7. Its tried and tested
Nuff said

Don't keep the Honda give it to meDon't keep the Honda give it to meDon't keep the Hondagive it to me

I wonder if subliminal messaging really does work

Seriously - I'd keep it although I know nothing of the other bike. I just know I want a Blackbird eventually

say "cheese"
