Re: Tips Back on Topic Always apply Chain Wax after a a ride-out, that way the chain will be warm and melt and lubricate more thoroughly, on your next ride-out it will be dry, saving splatter on back wheel and chainguard. ![]()

Re: Tips I'd never power jet wash a bike, seen a friend bugger his rear wheel bearings on 2 of his bikes one a new triumph rocket 3 with less than 1000 miles on it, he did same on his (cough) Hardley Moving. On a bike there's just too many exposed and internal greased parts for jet washing, good old fashion elbow grease works best. some may get away with jet washing but its only a matter of time.

Re: Tips The best and easiest way to get all the gunky chain lube of the rear wheel, is good old engine degreaser. I've got a huge litre tin, and it never seems to go down. Then, when they're all spick and span, a good coating with auto glym resin polish to get it off easier next time. I love my gold alloys!! Also, when polishing the bike, don't forget to do the screen. It makes it easier to clean all the fly fodder off next time. Hey Rocks, what's with the hairy primate, where's you St Georges cross gone? Last edited by BLACKPANTHER : 06-13-2008 at 08:37 PM.
