| Re: Duc's handling pls then power, whats the point of having loads of power when u cant corner, i have to many mates with bigger newer bikes, great in a straight line, shame they start to bottle it on corners, how many people on here with sports bikes have spent money on full exhausts, air filters and fueling setup? sorted your suspension? if the suspension is good and set up for your size and weight youll be quicker than spending money on power |

| Re: Duc's Quote:
People seem to forget that the Blackbird was built for one thing only in the first place and that was to take the title of the worlds fastest bike in a straight line. It only later got the title of a hypersports tourer because it didn't really fit into any other bracket. I have to say that its one of the best in its class though ![]() | |

| Re: Duc's ur honda will have both but the standard suspension comes down to cost and is factory set for the average rider, with a little time spent with a suspension set up session the bike will handle a lot better and you will get the power down quicker with out replacing anything apart from maybe new valves in the forks, my forks have been fully rebuilt and set up for my weight size and riding habits this was done by maxton, the zx7r front end is very good as standard, but after my maxton sessions the difference is unbelievable, i went back the following week to have a new maxton rear shock, bushing, new swing arm bearings and headstock bearings, then i started on the engine, new reworked head, cams springs and valves, reworked crank, 4 degree ignition advancer, air filter full akra system then a full 2 days on the dyno to set it all up, result handles like you would not believe so much feedback from both front and back and it goes aswell |

| Re: Duc's Pah Pah Pah Pah. Ducatis being fast on the roads? Total myth. I used to ride with a guy who had a Ducati 748. I used to keep with him on the twisties towards Matlock, and I was on a K reg Suzuki GSXF750F!! And yes, he could ride, he was a very fast, fearless nutter ( so was I before I had kids ). It's just that every time he hit a big bump it unsettled the bike, whereas the big heavy Suzuki just soaked them up. Ducatis would trounce most bikes on the track, but not on pothole Englands roads. Give me big, heavy planted bikes any day of the week. |
