| after forcing myself to get my arse off the couch i went to the bike club meet tonight, the bike felt a little to keen to turn into corners and i had checked the tyre pressures before i left so i put it down to new bar end weights( long shot i know). anyway got to the pub and seen that the carpark was full and decided to pull into a space behind a car. it was a tight turn but i knew i would make it ok, and as i turned the bike, the twat in the car decided he was going to reverse towards me instinct took over and i gave the front brake a squeeze and down we went , there was soon a few helpers to pick up the bike and myself and a few others who were shouting at the car( as he sped away) and shaking their fiststhe damage isnt too terrible broken mirror, bent crash bung, some deep scratches on the can and one sore knee and shoulder.. on the plus side i had already ordered new mirrors and have managed to get the can polished up using 400 grit wet and dry followed by a good polish with the mops and leccy drill. so i will be replacing the crash bungs and will be accepting recommendations from whoever has them fitted/been unfortunate enough to have put them to use or just if you can point me to a bargain ![]() and it pissed down on the way home and my nads got all soggy, so its not been a good night ![]() .........................Sam |
