I just judge it from engine tone and how the bike is reacting to my very livly throttle hand I use the clutch going down the gears but not going up.

Aye most of what is being said is what I do at the minute. But does the examinar look out for how you gear down approaching a junction or is it just checking mirrors braking lifesaver etc?

it's a run through of a test and what's expected and what you can fail on. It's a while since I read it but I dont remember anything about gears.

Does not happen to me on the Lav, but I am doing it all the time on the fazer Mostly on the commute to work on dual carriageway section..

Mind you the damn thing is so quiet if it wasn't for the rev counter you would not know it's running
