| New bike purchase Folks, im a total noob to this site, so first up, Aloha to you all. Im doing my Practical Test next week, and for my first bike, rightly or wrongly, im buying a new CB1000R. My local Honda dealer has one in stock so im tempted to buy it regardless.. ( i work offshore and if i pass my test i'll then go offshore for a month 5 days later...obviously i want to get out riding ASAP when (if) i pass my test, so i dont want to waste time waiting for registering it and all crap)..but as its unregistered i assume i wont be able to bring it home. I assume that in order to register it i have to be insured....would provisional insurance be sufficient to get it registered. I passed my car licence in 1997 so i believe that my car licence is sufficient for provisional entitlement. I passed my CBT 6 weeks ago if it makes any difference. Cheers in advance. |
