Very rainy indeed. But had a marvellous time despite the weather thanks mate. Will get pics on very soon, not very exciting mind you. Lots of scenery. Be warned.

Started looking at holidays abroad for next year as Mr LC will probably divorce me if I make him have another rainy English holiday. I thought we'd see a bit of our own beautiful country but its not so beautiful through constant torrential rain.

And the depression is starting to approach (back to work Monday )

Re: Birdstrike!

I murdered a pigeon a few weeks ago, flew straight across me , hit my left shoulder and then cracked my right knee...i was doing 70 (ish) at the time

Not even Rolf could of put it back to together again after...I was surprised that it did not really hurt.

My mate Tony got hit in the chest by a pheasant a few years ago.. I was following him at the time.. but the pheasant flew off... clearly stronger than pigeons..

Re: Birdstrike!

Ive hit a small bird with my knee once, don't know what it was. The funniest story is from when I worked in the bike shop....
A GSXR1100 (old slabsider) was brought into the workshop, and there was a smell of burnt skin and sunday roast. It turned out to be a bird that had the bad luck to fly in front of the bike, somehow miss the front wheel and end up in the collector of the exhaust.
