Well we had the mother of all thunderstorms about 2 hours ago, now we've got blue sky. (well patches of it anyway) I'm off to the whistlestop.

Soaked it...
Was lovely when I set off and still is now I'm back. 4 miles from Whitby and it started with light rain, getting heavier the closer I got. Stopped for 15 mins at Whistlestop and had a quick cuppa, and 4miles back out of Whitby was in the sunshine again.

Funniest thing...
North Yorks plod had decided to set up a speed trap, just as you drop down, between the pickering roundabout and Four lane ends garage. Oh dear, there was hardly and bikes out, and the ones that were out, were taking it very steady indeed due to the weather. What a waste of an ANPR van, 2 bikes and 2 cars. Hope they had plenty of doughnuts.

I opened my top box and removed the waterproof over trousers to put in my rucksac in the car as I am going hillwalking tonight and tomorrow.
