Interested in purchasing a Honda XR400R

Hi I just passed my test the other day and I have been looking to purchase a nice off road style bike that is under 33BHP (due to my restricted license).

The Honda XR400R has tickled my fancy mainly because it is similar to my XR125 (which I love) but with a much bigger engine.

Does anyone know how much BHP this bike produces? I have done some research which on average is below 33bhp. I just want to make sure as I don't wanna break the law. Any info would be much appreciated!

The Honda produces 31 bhp, it might also be worth checking out similar products from Suzuki, Yamaha and KTM.

Good find both

Just a word of advice, if you do need to fit a restrictor kit ask for the price of the genuine manufacturers kit as they can be cheaper and they tend to be designed for the job (different jets, slides etc for the carbs) as opposed to the restricting washer type kits, these things tend to choke the bike across the rev range as instead of higher in the range where the bike reaches 33bhp.

Re: Interested in purchasing a Honda XR400R

It would depend on the style of riding you prefer, ie. cruiser, trailie, sports or touring. Plus how much do you want to spend ?
