Lovely figure of 8 pattern Coming home from work today I overtook several cars. Coming in to a 30 zone I'd slowed right down to the speed limit. Some Bozzo in a 10 year old Mitsubishi Galant (who I'd overtaken a couple of miles earlier) came roaring up behind me, must've been doing 80, right up behind me. I continued doing 30 all the way through the town, with this t055er 2 feet from my rear wheel. As soon as I left the 30 zone into a national speed limit road, he pulled out to overtake me. Now usually, when I hit the National speed limit sign (or is that no speed limit) I'd have shot straight up to a high speed and left him for dead, but this guy was really getting on my tits and was dangerously close behind me . I thought I'd embarrass him a bit in front of his mate in the passenger seat. I stayed in 3rd gear as he overtook me, and as soon as he'd passed i overtook him at full throttle, making a beautiful figure of 8 pattern in the process, and going past him in 2 seconds flat, leaving him waaaaay behind me. Well, it put me in a good mood anyway. mitsubishi man, you are a W*%$£R!!!!

Re: Lovely figure of 8 pattern Makes me chuckle to think they thought they might actually be able to do something against your bike. I used to be able to easily out accelerate most cars on my old 125 scooter from a standing start. I had so much fun, so I can't imagine what it would be like on a big bike, but I'm smiling thinking about it. If everything goes to plan I'll be on one early next year. Probably a 500 to start off with, I'm sure that'll be a fairly quick bike.

Re: Lovely figure of 8 pattern Same sort of thing happened to me the other day, had a ride out with mr h on the only good weather day we had, had a ride over the moors and into weardale ( I did this road on my lessons with lambs) anyone from over here will know that there's bloody sheep all over so you have to keep an extra eye open when this idiot in an artic came racing up our backsides (mr h had kindly let me lead) I could see him flashing his lights right up mr h's arse oh and he was pushing his horn ( mr h rides a 1400 by the way) I pulled in after a while into one of those pull ins full of slipery gravel stuff nearly lost the bike and took fairy inches to get it back out of the pull in while mr h sped off to catch him ready to kick his toes in for being such an arsehole, later found out that these wagons aren't supposed to go over 40 ( I was doing 45-50) on single carriageways really wished I'd got his number

Re: Lovely figure of 8 pattern haa haa - same thing happened to me in the pouring rain, some twit in a new Vectra was a couple of feet of my rear on the A46 dual carridgeway between Nottingham and Leicester. Now that road is straight for about 10 miles. I lost him at 120mph - but i did feel kind of scared at that speed in the pouring rain!! My eyes were out of stalks!
