Re: How many times to pass a bike test?

Sorry it didn't go well GB.

I'm really not looking forward to doing the theory myself. Not ridden a bike yet, but am quite excited about it (at the moment). Is it better to do the thoery first then the CBT, or the other way round? Or does it not really matter?

I guess ditto with what everyone else said about doing it in your own time and your own way, but don't give up! Stick with it and it'll all come right in the end.

My birthday's coming up soon and Bill's paying for my CBT so there could be many tales of woe to come.......

Take care, Kaz.

Thanks Maccy

I don't think it matters what order you do the CBT and theory in, I only chose to do the theory first because I thought I could do the CBT, training then test all in a block of 3-4 days but it didn't work out like that which I was glad about as I found the CBT day tiring.

What a great Birthday Present Maccy
I found it a real weird feeling getting on the front of a bike for the first time, but a nice kinda weird you know? Good luck with it Maccy, just relax and enjoy it, you'll be fine!

Re: How many times to pass a bike test?

Passed first time lucky me - it was on the rainiest, windy day you can imagine. And someone must have phone all the people in the test area - because every idiot was out hanging around at junctions, lights and walking out in the road.

I thought i was going to fail U-Turn - but managed to get the bike round in the wet on a slope!!

Honda CBR 600RR and proud!!

Well done.
The world is at your feet...or wheels as the case may be....

I managed to fail on my hill-start (its not easy to start in 3rd as I found out!!!)
I'm booked in again for the 2nd April - at least its not the 1st!

I went to the Scottish show at the weekend - SO MUCH TEMPTATION.... I like so many bikes....but I'm waiting until I pass than will go for something cheapish for a while just to get some miles under me.

Well done Singh600RR

Bad luck G-Cam, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the 2nd for you! There's loads of fab bikes around, fancy any particular model?

Thumbs up Re: How many times to pass a bike test?

Hi

I spend most of my time in Hungary, so came back to the UK last week to do my bike test. Passed the CBT Monday (despite running into a hedge on the U-turn) Had 125 lessons Tuesday (broke the L plate after a U-turn mishap) Continued lessons on Wednesday (nailed the U-turn!) and then had my test cancelled on Thursday due to strong winds. Bugga.

It is diffucult to come back to the UK soon due to work committments, and I want to take the test before I forget too much (plus here I ride a moped and dont want nasty habits to creep back in) Does anybody know if it is possible to book a test at a weekend? That way I could have more lessons on the saturday and ideally test Sunday)

Thanks alot
