Re: What underware should I buy?

I thought it was us suvvernors that were meant to be faries (no offence mc ).

Having been raised on the edge of Dartmoor I'll probably wear, well nothing at all under my gear.

Re: What underware should I buy?

I tried leathers years ago when I got my first GPZ1000RX, but just didn't get on with them to be honest. I hated walking about off the bike like a gorilla with arthritis and a deformed spine.

These days, (doesn't matter if it's warm or cold), I wear:

On the top:

1 x T-shirt
1 x Hooded fleeced jumper/sweat shirt
1 x Fleeced jacket
1 x Leather jacket

With a scarf around my neck and tucked up into my helmet to cover my mouth.

On the bottom:

Thermal socks, (a real must!)
Steel toe capped boots, my jeans and a pair of thermal over trousers that are supposed to be chainsaw proof, (not gonna test that one out though)

Sure I feel a bit like Michelin Man but there are advantages:-

a) It bulks me up and makes me look a hell of a lot bigger than I am
b) I'm always nice and warm even at <cough> higher speeds

Oh! I also wear my biking gloves with a pair of "magic gloves" under them to keep me paws warm

If at first you don't succeed buy a snipers rifle, hire a clown suit and climb a clock tower

Ever seen a guillotine working? The steel toe caps might protect your toes from a direct blow, but bend em back a ways and the steel would slice very neatly through your metatarsals. That could take the edge off your day!

True, but it's a risk I'm happy to take

I will get around to buying a pair of proper boots at some point in time.
