| Re: my bikes dead ok just thought I'd missed it failed ECU common then indie? just wondering what else you looked at before deciding it was dodgy. personally, that would've been the last thing I'd have suspected, woulda gone for dodgy earths, plugs, coil, even water in the fuel would've been ahead of the ECU ![]() hope it ain't the case that yer ECU was fine & you've just inadvertently (& temporarily) improved a connection when trying yer mate's one in! good luck, fingers crossed for you mate ![]() |

| Re: my bikes dead Techincally they were written by a biker and this wannabe biker responded so there was a partial bike theme to them, plus a mans allowed other interests as long as he doesnt try to think about them all at the same time! That just hurts! ![]() |

have had water in the fuel before on my gsxr600, so im very careful now, most of the ignition system has been replaced with better quality gear, this was done just before i picked up the bike so i knew that should be ok and the plugs are newish only around 3 months old, ive had a failed ecu (yes another kawasaki) years ago, a little ar80 and i did check everything then before i found the ecu was at fault, as the my zx7r was behaving like my little ar80 did i knew there was a good chance thats what it was, also its easier to reach than any other part of the ignition system

When I broke the clutch lever on my Triumph a few months back I rang a dealership for the replacement, £17.00+VAT!! ![]() ![]() So, being as curious as I am, I tried the Kawasaki's clutch lever on the Triumph and it fitted! Then I rang a Kawasaki dealer for a replacement lever .. £7 INCLUDING the VAT
