'Colourful' ride to work

I hoped to get to work in the dry this morning but just as I went out to take the cover off the bike it started to rain
Anyway, I just thought I'd take it steady. What made the ride in even better was all the pretty little rainbows that were all over the road! Managed to avoid most of them but I didn't spot a small manhole cover pulling out of a t-junction til it was too late. Even going really slow I felt the front wheel slide a bit.
I hope it dries up this afternoon.

road rainbows - love the range of colours and the effect as they glisten and shine.

fresh snow - crisp, clean and white. Stunning.

fire - could watch the shapes leaping and dancing for ages. Mesmerising.

On their own, beautiful. Anywhere near a bike - pain in the arse

Re: 'Colourful' ride to work

I'm still getting used to the bike so taking it steady even in the dry so riding in the wet I'd prob be quicker walking
Was slippy on the way home tonight too and managed to hit another couple of drain covers - going slow though. Felt the bike move under me a bit. I wouldn't want to ride over one going any faster
The excess on my insurance is quite high so thats enough incentive to stay shiny side up.
