The hairy bikers travel to an area that has been under-represented on cookery shows: the North of England. Cumbrian Dave shows Simon Mrs Green's pie shop and Simon takes Dave to Newcastle's fish quay. They experience a proper Lancashire hotpot at Bury Market, chicken breast stuffed with Cumberland sausage on the Pennines and the ultimate fish pie. They also find time to try some fun at an ice rink - Dave in lurex doing his Abba tribute is a sight to behold.
