it's the bike thinking "why was I born a Kawasaki"

For a serious answer, could be the fuel tank and the air inside it contracting and expanding, with the sound coming from the breather. Next time you hear it, open the fuel cap and see if it stops.

It does it any time when its not running. Comes from the petrol tank area, probably more so when I've been out for a run and parked up and put it on the stand. Like a big, settling down kind of sighing

I'm pretty sure that what Mike and I both said is true then - nothing to worry about, unless you've got a naked flame near the tank at the time........

What does one do about a partially blocked breather? Its a new bike only had it 3 months.

Check with your dealer - they might consider it 'normal'
