Stupid Voltswagen Van.

Me and Nipedly met up yesterday (for the first time) in camborne and drove to penzance and i stopped at KFC car park because i usually have some mates there, they were not down there.

I told phil that they were not there, so i headed towards the exit, and i looked in my mirror and saw no lights, then i wobbled without doing anything and i gained 5mph without touching the throttle.

I was confused at what happened, then a light appeared and a van "ragged" past me. (I was doing 15-20mph in the car park towards the exit.)

About 1/2 mile later he stopped at a junction and then he wheel spinned off (well its a van, but it still managed to spin slightly with some squeel).

This was last night at about 9.30pm.

Phil also told me he cut him up.

Anyway, it is the first time a vehicle has deliberately come in contact with mine and pushed me along.

No damage was done. I didn't get his reg plate, so can't report him. He was wearing a Bandana, 30-35 years old, male, Y-reg white Voltswagen Caddy van (no sign writing). I give these details so that other local people who might read this will keep an eye out for it

If you ever read this page (van man), your a f*cking t*sser and w*nker for endangering me and phils life, and if i ever see you and your van again when i am alone, i will have words with you. You are by far the most incompetent t*sser i have ever seen on the road.

Rob

Re: Stupid Voltswagen Van.

I had three near misses yesterday but fortunately I was in my car. First I was near side on a dual carriageway with two black hatchbacks on my right. The rear one just dog-legged in front of me with out indicating causing me to brake. Swore at him and carried on and then the other tosser in the first hatch pulled across in front of me causing me to brake hard; he got max horn and startled he pulled back out and then back in again I followed him until such times as I was able to shout some obscenities at him.

Then later another black hatch joined a roundabout crossing my lane causing me to brake sharply

I had my driving lights on and it is an X-trail so should be easy enough to see. Glad I wasn't on the bike

Re: Stupid Voltswagen Van.

I'll keep an eye out for said idiot. It's a sad fact of life these days that you genuinely have to treat every person as a potential threat to your life.

You might know the double roundabout at the top of Arch Hill in Truro but for the rest of the forum, it's one of those stupid double mini roundabouts that intersect four three main roads and one minor residential road. People get so confused that they have to give way twice that they generally don't bother. Rush hour this morning I ended up literally a foot away from the window of some knob in a Vectra who'd not even bothered looking right. The cock then sat there looking at me with a dazed expression and attempted to wave me on. Where the @*%$ was I going to go since he was in the way?

Re: Stupid Voltswagen Van.

Unlucky Rob it happens to the best of us we just have to stay as safe as possible. I've started to pick up many things on the road which nobody told me on my lessons but that's what experience is for i'm always preparing to slow down when i see a lorry on the other side and i tend to pull over a bit to make sure the **** behind it inches from it's back end can see me i don't know if this is wrong or right as i thought i may be inviteing an overtaker but i best be seen i thought.

I think it was just one of those days yesterday you know when everybody you know has a story about what happened to them on the road i was cut up twice by people turning right because they were in the wrong lane and the nutters that sit up the backside of a lorry not being able to see anything swerving in and out to overtake into the path of oncoming trafic lucky he saw me i already had a plan of escape for my route the grass looked soft

Re: Stupid Voltswagen Van.

This was the first time I've ever seen someone trying to intentionally cause harm. He literally just bollocked up behind us out of nowhere, tried to push past me causing me to brake and swerve then going up Rob's back end and overtaking him 5 foot from the car park exit. I've had plenty of people saying 'sorry didnt see you mate' but this is the first time I've had someone trying to cause harm for absolutely no reason

Erm... by 'driving lights' I hope you mean dipped headlamps, and not your foglights (or w**ker lights as they're known round here, because every to55er of a boy racer thinks its cool to drive round with them on all of the time, even though there's no sign of fog), since you will clearly be aware that it is an offence to have fog lights illuminated unless the visibility is seriously reduced, and bikers would never break the law......

Some days you're the dog, some days you're the lamp post. For me, life's a beach, and then the tide comes in ....

It was late afternoon and raining and yes call them wanker lights if you want but with the idiots round here anything that stands out has got to be good. Obviously with those tossers it didn't work
