3do Foam- Biker armour!

Check this out all, its going into biker clothing. A soft foam that goes rock hard on impact!!!

its thin and light and flexible so you wont notice it in your kit (unlike conventional armour)

anyway there is a short video of it here by Skynews

Skate and Annoy Archive Can you get that technology into a trucker hat?

Cool!

Re: 3do Foam- Biker armour!

It is real, it's call 'Config Foam' and is used in several industries including Formula 1. They use it to make the U shaped cockpit insert around the driver.

I have used it to pad out my rucksack when I put heavy/hard objects in it.

It is good stuff but I would say to on impact it stiffens, it doesn't go 'rock hard'. It will be great for biker jackets but I would not use it to protect my fine china!

Hello PontiC and welcome to the forum

I've seen this stuff in a sci fi film recently and can't remember which one it was after the crash, the person was in like a shell of the stuff.

Some time's my mind doesn't only wander, it leaves completely ...........
