| Re: What was your first bike? well the 1st one got trashed by an errant car driver & the 2nd one was just a stop gap replacement. the suzy was a great bike but kept holing pistons so I bought the Yam new, then wedged that upright in the rear door of a London cab on Holloway Road when it was only a couple of months old replaced that with a new 750K6 but the rear wheel kept collapsing & I got fed up with taking it back to the dealer (old type spokes) so traded it in against a new F2 after about 6 months.the two V twins aren't going anywhere tho, love em both - especially the firestorm which is far easier to ride than the SP1 ![]() |

| Re: What was your first bike? Mine was a Susuki GP 100 and I loved it I was 17 and any transport was great, of course I wanted a water cooled TZR125 as it had the looks but unfortuanatley I did not have the pockets! I did everything to get an extra mile per hour out of it, In the end I found out that all I needed to make it a 125 was a pistson barrel and head, I made the changes and loved it some more. I even drove it to Wales on a family holiday from the midlands, it took hours and the hills were mind numbingly slow but apart from a puncture in Welshpool it never missed a beat. I have fond memories of my GP and it is one of the main reasons I am doing my test later this month. For a pic follow the link, not my bike but it is the right color I cant add pics yet but just type 'Susuki GP125' into goole images, it was blue |
