Isle of Man TT, spectator safety

There was a news item on Tv yesterday which I only caught the tail end of.
Apparently event health and safety has been taken over by the Chief Constable and some places spectators usually watch the races from are now barred to them.
Has anyone here got any idea what the full story is about this?

You can find anything on the net regardless of the speed of your internet papasmurf. Google search or ask Jeeves I find are the best engines to use, just type in the key words, eg 'TT race chief constable' and you're results pull up 27,400 item, the first one is this on 29 April 2008 12:05 PM Chief constable named as chief marshal for TT - Isle of Man Today

"CHIEF Constable Mike Langdon has been appointed chief marshal for TT 2008.
The move was announced in the House of Keys this morning by Tourism and Leisure Minister Adrian Earnshaw.

Mr Langdon's appointment by race organisers ACU Events Ltd fills a vacancy left by the resignation of Roger Hurst who stepped down following stinging criticism by the Coroner at the inquest into last year's triple tragedy at the 26th Milestone.

Mr Earnshaw agreed the move marked a 're-engagement' by the police in the race organisation.

Traditionally, the chief constable was always made chief marshal but that link was ended by the former police chief Mike Culverhouse."

I am more than aware of that I have been using the internet since 1992.
I am far more likely to find some inside gen on this forum than I am with an internet search.
Not everything is on the internet, for instance finding a current manufacturer of hub centre steering systems for sidecar outfits is next to impossible.

I used the net and in a single search found that BMW is a current manufacturer and there is also a forum which specializes in sidecar outfits and includes a 'Manufacturers Row'.
