| Re: MOTOGP: 600's to replace 250? They should have opted for 400cc twins to replace 250 two strokes and 200cc single cylinder engines to replace 125s. That way the development costs would be kept to a minimum and the same technology could be applied to all three classes. A 400cc engine would simply be half of an an 800cc MotoGP bike and a 200, half again. The relationship between 800cc four strokes and 500cc two stokes would also be the same as the relationship between 400cc four strokes and 250cc two strokes etc. This solution therefore retains the same balance and the same relationships between the three classes. |
