Superbike rider pulls out of TT

Superbike racer Sean Emmett, 38, has decided not to compete in the 2008 Isle of Man TT.

Emmett would have made his Isle of Man debut

Since his debut in 1997 Emmett, who is not racing in the 2008 championship, has recorded 12 British Superbike wins and 59 podium finishes.

He was due to line up for his debut around the Mountain Course under the banner of the Speedfreaks/Ice Valley Racing Team.
It is reported the decision comes after discussions with his family.

i cant understand why he would pull out

.i would give my right arm to take part in the tt, even if i was the slowest rider on the island ,i would still be able to say i took part in it,and this guy just pulls out

I can understand it too TBH, the course is a killer and if you have other commitments that are paying and are safer to do, then why risk it?
