THOUSANDS OF fans of the cult television series American Chopper are expected to visit Hemsby, near Yarmouth, next Friday, April 18, when its stars make a personal appearance at the Orange County Choppers store.
The Discovery Channel reality show tracks the lives of the Teutal family as they run their business creating custom motorbikes, and father Paul and his sons Paul jnr and Mikey are due to arrive in Hemsby by helicopter from Norwich airport at midday.
Simon Lane, a spokesman for the store, the only one in the UK licensed to sell motorcycle accessories from the series, said some of their custom-built bikes, worth about $200,000, would also be on display.
He said: “We are expecting many thousands of visitors because on their last visit to the UK, a bike show in Brighton, 250,000 people turned up.”
