Test ride a Ducati Monster 696

Ducati dealers across the UK are gearing up for a Monster celebration as the new 696 is launched to the public on the 3rd May. Test rides will be available and pre-booking is recommended as the eagerly awaited new Monster hits UK roads for the first time.

This iconic motorcycle presented to the worlds press less than a month ago has already found its way into Ducati showrooms. The 696 follows in the footsteps of many versions of the Monster which all started with the Monster 900 back in 1993, since then over 200,000 Monsters have left the Bologna factory making it the most popular Ducati of all time.

Now the new Monster 696 has been completely redesigned taking the naked segment to a new level with identical chassis technology to Ducatis World Championship MotoGP bike and the proven power and flexibility of the legendary Ducati L-Twin engine, the Monster 696 is as comfortable in city traffic as it is on the open road.

The 80hp engine ensures a smooth and powerful delivery for a relaxed but thrilling ride and combined with a sublime chassis, a low and narrow seat (770mm), 165kg dry weight (the lightest in its class) , light ATPC clutch for smooth safe down-shifting and a vastly improved steering-lock, it all adds up to a package suitable for either an experienced or novice rider.

With a new maintenance package that drastically reduces service costs and the choice of an extensive array of accessories, the Monster 696 is an affordable and flexible motorcycle that is suitable for many occasions and can be accessorized to any individuals taste.

The Monster 696 is available it two versions, the standard and the +. The + is the bike initially available and comes with a single seat cover and a neat bikini fairing. All 696s are available in traditional Ducati Red, Pearl White and Matte Black.
