Police have voiced fears that bikers are using quiet roads in the Borders as their "personal race track".
The concerns come after a motorcyclist was clocked travelling at more than 120mph in the region during a national speeding campaign.
A 47-year-old man from Penicuik will be reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.
Insp Richard Latto said it still appeared that there was work to be done to tackle the problem of speeding.
"It is disappointing the message does not seem to be getting through especially with the number of motorbike fatalities we have had in the region," he said.
"Some motorcyclists seem to be treating the roads of Peeblesshire as their own personal race track and we are determined to stamp it out with more spot checks."
