I am surprised at that valuation, the insurance company reckons my wife and I's ancient unrestored CX500 custom is worth £1000.

Apparently in the case of our insurance the valuation is done independenly of the insurance company due to the age of the bike.

I am puzzled why anyone would want to steal a CX500. We have had our CX500 Custom for about 12 years now and we have never had to buy any spare parts for it.
