Bikesure targets uninsurable motorcycles

Motorcycle insurance provider Bikesure has launched a new scheme to offer cover to riders of motorcycles not listed in the Association of British Insurer’s motorcycle database.

The One2Five policy is designed for bikes of 125cc and under, which the firm says is one of the fastest growing categories in terms of the number of makes and models available.

The speed of growth means the ABI has struggled to keep its database up-to-date, which has resulted in some 125 riders struggling to get insurance.

Bikesure’s policy would offer cover for those motorcycles, while also providing insurance to high-risk riders.
