A BIKER was left with serious chest injuries after a three-way crash.
Police are now appealing for the good Samaritan who stopped after seeing the collision and may hold important information.
The accident, outside Bradley Hall and Pinfold Cottage, Malpas, happened at 3.30pm on Friday, May 23, along the B5395. It is believed the black and red motorbike, travelling from Grindley Brook towards Malpas, clipped the back of a silver-grey Renault, forcing it into the opposite lane and into the path of an oncoming black Seat Leon.
The male biker was taken to North Staffs Hospital, where he spent “considerable time” in the operating theatre on Friday evening.
Sergeant Dave Harrison of Cheshire Police said: “We’re looking for the driver of an orange light goods vehicle, who was on the scene at the time. He was not involved but may be a valuable witness. He returned to the scene.”
The driver of a small white van travelling from Malpas to Grindley Brook may also be able to help police.
Anyone with information can contact Sergeant Harrison on 01244 614270 or 07717 557429.
