Pay tribute to Harley-Davidson in Minehead

With thousands of tickets already sold for Harley-Davidson UKs Anniversary Celebrations at Butlins Resort in Minehead, the motor company has revealed its entertainment line-up for the weekend of 4-6 July. The event is open to everybody and revellers can enjoy fantastic live music from some of the UKs best tribute acts with stages reserved for themed retro favourites from the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

Artists will pay homage to stars including Tina Turner, Jon Bon Jovi, Madonna, Bryan Adams, Diana Ross, Elvis and Neil Diamond with a show stopping performance from Born to Run a premier Bruce Springsteen tribute act. The Affray will rock the crowds performing hit favourites from Led Zeppelin to Green Day. The Shovelheads will also be on hand to deliver a dynamic drum and percussion performance with the use of motorcycle parts as instruments.

In addition to the live music there will be a comedy nightclub featuring acts from Billy Connolly lookalike Bob Lucas and Peter Kay tribute Lee Lard. Topping the bill is Herb Dixon, a 20-year veteran of the comedy scene, renowned for his uncanny Harley-Davidson impressions and story telling.

The opening evening will play host to a spectacular Independence Day fireworks display. Buell stunt rider, Craig Jones is also expected to draw some oohs and aahs from the crowd. Craig who became the European Stunt Champion in 2002 achieved a world record by travelling 225 metres on the front wheel of a Buell XB9S Lightning from 119mph. His show will be complemented by the extraordinary acrobatics of Halcones Mexico.

Miami Ink the hit US programme set in a Tattoo parlour and Orange County Choppers will be exhibiting at the event and a wide range of Harley-Davidsons most striking motorcycles will be on display with demo rides available. Members of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) the worlds largest manufacturer sponsored enthusiast group will have the opportunity to participate in a HOG Chapter Challenge including poker and observation runs.

We are delighted at the response weve had so far for this event, says H.O.G Manager for the UK & Ireland, Marjorie Rae. With the announcement of the exciting entertainment and activities programme we have planned, we expect the remaining tickets to sell fast. We have something to offer everyone and welcome all 2- wheel enthusiasts to join in the celebrations and share the Harley-Davidson experience.

Ticket prices start at 120 per person, include three nights B&B accommodation and access to all on-site entertainment
