VISORDOWN told you weeks ago this was going to happen, and last night Ducati confirmed that the mighty Carl Fogarty will ride the company's Desmosedici RR in the Parade Lap at this year's TT event on June 6.
The 200bhp Desmosedici is only one of a handful currently in the country and costs £40,000. Fogarty will be joined by such luminaries as Sammy Miller, who rode one of the first Ducati motorcycles to race at the TT in 1958, Paul Smart, Tony Rutter, Trevor Nation, Jamie Whitham and Ian Simpson.
The parade lap will start from the start/finish line in front of the grandstand on Glencrutchery Rd at 10.45am on Friday 6 June prior to the start of the Senior TT race.
