Seven-time world champion says 'aggression is good but not everything'
VALENTINO ROSSI has chipped in with a bit of his own opinion about the current crop of aggressive riding in the MotoGP and support races at the moment, saying that a few of the young riders need to calm down a touch.
The seven-time world champion said: "To be aggressive is certainly necessary in racing, but aggressiveness does not take into account everything. And it is dangerous when you run up against another rider. What happened to Loris Capirossi (when he clashed with rookie Alex de Angelis in Barcelona) ended up in injury for the rider.
"You could say that the new riders are very determined, but they should be calmed a little.”
Blimey, if he thinks that was rough just wait until this weekend at Donington if there's someone standing between Toseland and that first MotoGP podium...
