Legend's son to attempt stunt that nearly killed his late father
ROBBIE KNIEVEL has announced that he is to attempt the famous Snake River Canyon Jump - the famous jump that nearly cost his father, Evel, his life.
Robbie, 47, is planning to jump the canyon in his own version of the equally-famous Sky Cycle, a rocket powered by compressed steam.
Knievel made the announcement to his friends and family after clearing 25 cars in a jump to officially open the new roller coaster named in hour of his father who died last December.
The jump, a new personal best for Robbie, happened last night at the Six Flags park in Eureka, St. Louis.
Moments after the jump, Knievel's own website confirmed the news announcing that Robbie is soon to begin the rocket bike for the jump.
