| Five Million Honda's sold to Vietnam. Japanese company Honda has announced that it has sold five million motorbikes in Vietnam.
Demand for its vehicles in the country has increased over the years and in the last six months the firm stated that it has delivered an average of 100,000 each month. Koji Onishi, general director of Honda Vietnam (HVN), commented: "HVN products has met the demand of customers in terms of: high quality, safety, modern & fuel economy. "This is not only the proud but also the responsibility of HVN. I do believe that we can do better to satisfy customers." In the last two years, HVN expanded their production to cope with the rise in interest in its products.
Modernisation of its existing plant recently increased its capacity from 800,000 to one million annually. Plans were announced last year to build a second plant to focus on producing scooters and high class gear models in a bid to create a stable investment and business for HVN in Vietnam.
In related news, the Honda DN-01 will be on sale to UK customers on August 1st and will retail at £9,200
