Jury sent home - Hell's Angel Trial

A JURY was sent home for the night yesterday after failing to reach a verdict in the April 2007 Hells Angels attack at Cardiff Bay’s Asda garage.

Cardiff Crown Court heard how Neil Lake, filling up with petrol on a Sunday morning, was badly punched by one of the bikers already there.

The registration number he took down was traced to Sean Timmins, 37, the vice president of the Hells Angels’ Wolverhampton branch.

But Timmins told the court a “brother” member was running around at the time, unknown to him, using his number on another Harley- Davidson similar to his.

“I know his name but it’s against Hell’s Angels rules to tell you it even if it means me going to jail.” he told the jurors. “I went nuts when he told me.”

Witnesses, including former Lloyds Bank manager Julian Stride and his wife Leila, say Timmins had been in Wolverhampton laying a drive for them at the time of the attack.

Timmins, of Brewood Road, Coven, denies causing grievous bodily harm.
