| Motorbike track proposed for St Albans Bikers in Radlett, St Albans, may soon benefit from a new motorcycle track if proposals are approved by a local council.
Aldenham parish council is reviewing plans for the lease of a section of King George V Playing Fields to Bikers on Track, a firm which providers tuition to bikers, reports the St Albans Observer.
The facility may be used to provide instruction to bikers on how to improve their safety and to look after their bikes, according to the newspaper.
However, it is thought the track would only be open to members of the group.
A consultation into the plans is scheduled for Thursday September 11th, during which representative of the interested parties will on hand to voice their opinions.
In related news, ten motorbikes and two helmets were recently stolen from Trail World in St Albans, the Herts Advertiser reports.
PC Marc Capicotto, from St Albans police station, said: "One of the motorbikes and helmets that were taken are extremely rare and I am sure someone knows something about this incident and I would urge them to come forward."
Motorbike insurance customers may be interested to know that among the bikes stolen was a black and gold Sherco 5.1i, which is the only one of its kind currently in Britain.
