Harley-Davidson global awards. Top dealer from Preston

The Preston Harley-Davidson dealership is celebrating after being named Outstanding New Dealer at the annual Harley-Davidson global awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

The Strand Road showroom, which is owned by the Bowker Group, was recognised for its overall outstanding performance over the last 12 months.

The awards are designed to ensure that each of the 31 dealerships in the UK remain committed to continually providing the highest standards of service.

Each dealership is scored on a points system throughout the year and every aspect of the dealership’s service is taken into account including customer service, number of technicians, participation in training courses and sales of motorcycles, parts, accessories and clothing.

Steve Westray, of Preston Harley-Davidson, said: “This was a fantastic win for Preston Harley-Davidson and it is a credit to the whole team for their determination and hard work over the last 12 months.

“The Bowker Group has roots in the transport industry dating back to 1919 and our portfolio includes prestige car franchises; however this has clearly provided strong grounding for the move into motorcycle sales with Harley-Davidson and Buell.”
