Obviously we've seen all sorts of motorcycles and scooters, even quads and sidecars. But here's something totally new; a merger between a motorcycle, sidecar and quad. The result? The K-Pteron.
It's French, and was designed by the prize designer Alain Deveze (winner of the much coveted Lepine design trophy). He produced this QuadSide (for lack of a better word), He made the frame, inserted a Voxan engine and here's the stinger, the front and middle wheels all turn together!
Both sides of the K-Pteron are platforms. You ride the K-Pteron like you would a sidecar, and with all three wheels used for steering, you can take the curves very sharply, so it's very maneuverable.
The K-Pteron looks interesting, but I don't think you can split lanes in busy morning rush hour.
Using the design as basis, he's producing go-carts based on the same principle. Called the X-Trium Open link in a new window, he evens has an electric version of one.
