A motorcyclist has been killed after a crash with a lorry on the A98 near Buckie.

The male biker died after the accident at about 1155 GMT near to the Inchgower Distillery.

Grampian Police said the road was closed and was likely to remain so for some time. Diversions...

I understand that when he came off, he was unlucky to hit a short low wall, either side of this is smooth grass verge. I didn't know him personally but he lived over the back of us and his sister is a mate of my g/f.
It certainly can be an unforgiving road for bikers as there are a lot of junctions onto it, especially around Buckie (Moravian junction especially). I commute this road 5 days a week and have swapped to a car for this, thankfully as I rode through winter in previous years.
