Hospital worker cleared of sex assault on biker

Jury finds nurse not guilty after hearing at Chester Crown Court

A HOSPITAL worker has been found not guilty of sexual assault whilst carrying out a routine procedure on an injured biker.

Paul Edwards, 31, of Naylor Road, Ellesmere Port had worked at the Countess of Chester Hospital for 14 years before being suspended after the allegation was made.

A 27-year-old man made the complaint after receiving treatment at the Countess of Chester hospital when a serious motorcycle crash left him with a broken leg and needing 16 metal plates in his face. The jury found Mr Edwards not guilty after an hour of deliberations at Chester Crown Court on Thursday.

this is a tough one for me.why would the patient lie about a thing like that

...why would the nurse do that when he must have known the patient was going to complain

I suppose it depends on what the procedure was, if it was for a urinary catheter for example, under certain circumstances it could be seen by the patient as sexual assault, if he's just drifted back into consciousness and sees a nurse holding his willy ....................

He could have been a gay biker! and he might not have complained if he drifted into consciousness and seen a male nurse holding his willy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol Sam, I had to do extended training years ago to be able to carry out that procedure so I reckon it would have put a smile on his face ........ but only for a short time

Would it have gone to court if that was the case SB? I've learned to use the spelll chequer with out beaking it!! Sometimes
